What are three things do you need more or less of in your life and career?
Meditation sets the tone for the day. I meditate pretty much every day. One of the most beneficial things I get from this practice are thoughts that inspire me and my work. Also, if I am feeling tense or anxious in my mind, it helps me become calm and confident and it sets the tone for the day. Physically, I am pretty stiff when I wake up and my body responds to the meditative calm and becomes remarkably pain-free and loosened up. I love this and it has become a pleasant habit like brushing my teeth – a must!
Today, these three words came to me to ponder. Trust, Release and Balance.
Let’s look at trust.
It is a powerful word and an important factor in relationships with others and with ourselves.
Where do I trust or need more trust in myself?
Who do I need to trust more or build trust with?
Trusting in that inner guidance is crucial for me to live fully. Self-doubt and doubt of others can slip in very easily. And, I know in my core that I can only manage and control my own beliefs and behaviors, so the trust has to start here. When I am trusting from within in my guidance and being, I am confident and can love and give authentically.
So, this requires release.
Releasing fear, self-doubt and judgment of self and others is absolutely necessary. When I am truly honest with myself about judgment, I can find that beneath the judgment of someone else is usually a judgment of myself. I often suggest to my clients to imagine having a judgment journal and note every time you have a judgment of others or yourself, how quickly will you fill it up.
That sense of inner peace and calm is fully present when I discover what judgments or limiting beliefs I need to release.
From this calm space, I can examine what needs balance.
Balance is a tricky one because it is easy to expect a perfect equal balance of things. Work, life, relationships, health, spirituality. What this means to me is to check in to see what in my life needs more integration. Some days, it is a focus on work-related matters, some days, more exercise some days, more community, or focus on important relationships, more balance in my diet, and maybe more play.
All of this brings me back to trusting that I know what is needed for a more balanced life and what beliefs and behaviors need releasing. So these three go hand-in-hand.
I offer for you to ponder:
Where or with whom do you need more trust, release and balance? And, with awareness and clarity, consider how willing you are to seek what you need. And, if there is fear or uncertainty that holds you back, the next step is to ask why?
All the Best for a full and authentic life,
